The last month of living in Westmar my roommates allowed a man to move into my living room. My room is connected to the living room. He was loud, constantly smoking weed and trashing his apartment and inviting friends over. I reached out and said I was extremely uncomfortable because I signed up to live with all girls and nothing changed. So, I reached out to Westmar, twice. In the contract it has a very specific addendum for the procedures that should be taken if someone has moved into the apartment that is not on the lease. Instead they sent out an email and asked that they sign in their guest and that as the extent to what was done. I reported it again after moving back home for several weeks because I felt unsafe and even emailed pictures of the man and the way he trashed our apartment and once again nothing was done. On move-out day even after emailing saying the man had not cleaned his things I was charged for my living space being trashed. Extremely disappointed with the lack of action for a student that felt unsafe and the disregard for the situation even though it stated clearly in our lease what should have been done.
