Ice House Lofts

i found the icehouse lofts during a whirlwind tour of the atlanta metro area. they offered a move-in special (this was 3 years ago), and a good rate for a very cool ground-level studio in the new building. no trouble with noise that i can recall, and my neighbors were friendly. the pool is small and shallow, but it was nice to have. my main complaint with the building was the letter i received at the end of my lease, raising my rent by a pretty decent amount. considering that i was a good tenant and paid early, i felt it would have been good form to offer a continued incentive to remain.

a previous review mentions two armed robberies at carpe diem, which i find somewhat astonishing. i ate dinner at carpe just about every night, loving its atmosphere, food and staff equally. i certainly never felt in danger, even when leaving late. and as we still live within a 1/4 mile radius, i find it very suprising that i didn't hear of these crimes. perhaps the ajc missed them?
