The apartment location is prime, but management has changed and the new woman does not seem very experienced. She is not knowledgeable of the building, so you might be disadvantaged if there is an emergency repair request, because there is no 24 hour maintenance. She is it and that leaves residents vulnerable. The buildings are old and the walls are paper thin, so much so you can hear the conversation of your neighbor. You will also smell what they are cooking for dinner, so if you like chitlins and your neighbor is cooking a pot, you will be able to enjoy the aroma. Some neighbors can be vindictive and make noise on purpose. Be aware--the new property manager does not handle these complaints very well. The apartments do give one a sense of living in a dormitory, because there are no exterior doors, just one door which leads to four individual apartments. If your neighbor has a dispute, you will more than likely hear it. The community is diverse and has a mixture of residence from all walks of life. I chose this apartment community because it was close to the university I am attending, but I am only able to study at the school due to the level of noise in the building. Again, much of this is due to the age of the building. If you like old buildings, this could be the place for you.
