Dog Feces is constantly left laying around, cockroaches/beetles/ants are constant problems in the apartment despite a monthly "pest fee" and bi-weekly pest spraying. Maintenance is horribly un-responsive and in effective whenever they do respond. Kitchen floor and wall material is cheap and constantly cracks and breaks, appliances either never work or constantly break. Throughout this maintenance either ignores, or says they fixed when they have not. Main Trash bin/dumpster is constantly overflowing leaving trash in the street. Neighbors constantly bang on floors and walls throughout day or night, management will not address. You witness a drug deal a day, the smell of marijuana will fill the public area and occasionally leak into your apartment. Gym equipment is waayy below par. And for all of this, the Berkeley charges an unjustifiably high rent. Throughout our time here we made management aware of these issues, and nothing was ever solved or fixed. Overall terrible experience and would not recommend to anyone. Will be terminating our lease early and paying a 1 month's rent penalty fee, but to be honest this will be the first time since living here that I pay rent and feel like it was worth the price.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. People not picking up after their dogs or hearing noise from neighboring apartments is a common problem among all communities. We do try very hard to pick up after others and will continue to do so. The trash compactor was down for 4 days and an open top container was provided to the residents. Every morning when our staff arrived to the community, we spent at least a hour, cleaning up the trash left on the ground by others. The trash compactor has been repaired and the open-top container has been removed from the community. As for having pest issues in your apartment, we will only have the pest control technician service your apartment if you request this service. This service is scheduled for every Tuesday and if you need this service, please let me know. We are happy to do this any time. I am happy to meet with you either at your apartment or at our office if you feel maintenance is not providing you with the best quality service. I can 100% guarantee you and any other resident at The Berkeley we will ensure our residents receive the best quality service from our office and maintenance staff. Amber Wade Business Manager
