Well,

To start, I have been at Wesley Plantation for about two years and have had a terrible time from such things as overall maintenance, price hikes, outrageous utilities, unpleasant attitudes etc.

I pay a sewage/water bill that equivalent to a 4 thousand square foot house. Poorly maintained air conditioner and poor insulated doors and window contribute enormously to my utility bills.

I found a house in March and decided to break the lease (which expires in June) and was charged with one month´s rent and fortfeiture of security deposit. When my mortgage broker contacted Wesley seeking my personal rental history I was told that the Apartment receptionist was very rude and that they would not provide any information until I paid them $50. Frustrated and confused, I rushed over to the rental office only to be criticized for attempting to buy a house. I was told by the Wesley Property Manager that buying a house is a bigger rip-off than renting apartments. The amount of work done to prepare an apartment for another renter is pitiful. In my unit I have found that there is approx. 3 layers of wall paper in the bathrooms and 2-3 layers of vinyl floor covering in the kitchen and laundry room. This is a trap because washing machine feet almost always sink into these layers and will tear them when you move the washer. And you will end up paying for replacement of the entire flooring. The other writers are dead on -- your rent will increase $100 a year and your service will be quite different after initial lease signing. Please don´t make the mistake I did in signing on. Keep looking.
