Nice clean hill-top complex. Loved the views looking over Kennesaw, McCollum airport, and the smokey mountains. Very quick access to 75 and 41. My brother and I lived here from 08 to 09 in a 2/2 (twelve oaks floor plan) on the third floor in building 6.
CONS: It sucked climbing the stairs everyday, but found it was worth the quiet, the views, and the vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is very white, a little hard to keep clean. Same goes for the carpet. A lot of dust. Closet space a little small. No boat/rec vehicle parking. Water pipes make a knocking sound in one of the bedrooms, but I got used to it.
PROS: Huge balcony with amazing view! Absolutely loved having company over on it. Check out the historic scenic trail! Everyone picks up after their pets here too. Nice community of people. Large spacious shower/tub combos. Washer and dryer included. No pest problems or maintenance needed. I had to cat-sit for a friend one time for 2 weeks and management rewarded my honesty by not charging me. Front gates are easy to get in, you don't have to worry about any raising or lowering bar. Loved the recycling center!
I'm not sure what building the negative reviews are coming from. I haven't had any issues with insects or pests, except for one hornet nest on our balcony last year. But thats to be expected in Georgia. So just ask for Building 6 and you should be fine!
Overall definately a great community! AMLI's prices are a little higher, but you definately benefit from what you pay for here.
