Very Noise Complex and New Management Is HORRIBLE
I've been living here a year and a half and I am not a college student. I was allowed to re-new my lease shortly after the new management took over and I did not get a rate increase. This was a decent, affordable place to live until the new management took over. The Manager is a mean, nasty woman and does not communicate anything that is going on in the complex. If you call to ask questions, she is ALWAYS rude. The lease has a clause that if you break it, you have to immediately pay a "search" fee to they can find someone to move in your place. The fee is equal to one months rent and you have to pay two months more. I think this is unacceptable. I can hear and smell everything that goes on in my neighbors apartments. I have new neighbors below me that cook onions and garlic 24/7 and now there is also a horrible boiled egg smell constantly. I've complained and nothing was done. My apartment has been flooded 5 times from the renovations and all the maintenance people said was that it wasn't possible and they didn't know how to fix it. There was so much water in the carpet that you could see it. I had to call several times for someone to come out and say they couldn't do anything. The flooding stopped when they finished renovating the apartment above me. I can hear my neighbor who sings in the shower and conversations out on the deck or in the breezeway and I'm inside! These apartments are old with a fancy surface. The air ducts are so dirty that I have to dust every few days because there is a large amount of dust on everything and I'm not a neat freak. :) The parking is an issue and the gates have been broken for over a year. Several notices were sent out that they were going to start shutting them about a month ago but they are currently not closed. They also do construction at all hours of the day and night so you can never get any sleep. If you have a night job this is definately not the place for you. The only good thing I can say is that the new management has gotten rid of the palmetto bug problem. I will be moving when the current lease is up.Share This Review
