Honestly, it’s been better since the new management team came in, but still have my concerns. The primary one being the rent jump and the maintenance issues. As far as rent goes, there is absolutely no reason rent should be increasing 400 dollars. I understand the market changes, but for residents who have been loyal and issue-free, it’s disheartening. Since I have family who works for Greystar in another area, I know rent is negotiable and can be lowered more than the deal I was offered. I understand this is a business at the end of the day, but it’s sad the complex would lose a good 4 year tenant over this. Next, maintenance has been okay. Some issues were addressed, but there are still issues with the AC in the middle of a hot summer. It’s been broken for a full week. The thermostat reads 86 as I write this. I was assured Friday it would be fixed, but running the AC made it hotter in the apartment. I’m hoping it will be addressed today, but after having to wait all week and calling four times AND going up to the leasing office, I am not crossing my fingers. We were really planning on staying with Shiloh another year or two but this rent increase and the lack on maintenance is becoming too much.
Apart from my issues, I’ve not had any problems with other staff or the maintenance guys. They are good people, but need to reevaluate how things are taken care of on the property.
