I have truly enjoyed my time here at Hawthorne. The units are spacious, the grounds are kept nice, and maintenance staff is friendly and professional always. My only criticism would be that there was an issue with pests at one point, but it was finally resolved by an excellent pest control technician. The rent is a little high for a single person like myself, but not moreso than what is typical for Gwinnett county. The cost of living being unmanageable isn't really there fault. It's a symptom of a greater issue in our capitalistic society. Anyway.... it's a great complex, and the only reason I'm moving is so I can get a cheaper place and save for a home. If I'm going to pay $1,400.00 a month it should be a mortgage. My brother built a 4 bedroom two story home for less lol.

    I have had and amazing experience here. The grounds are well kept. The units are spacious and feel more like homes than cramped suburban apartments. It's an a great area. Other residents are quiet. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is a bit expensive. I've realized that's just how it is in this area. My only other real complaint is there is a slight bug issue. I've also realized this may be something that is common in metro Atlanta apartment communities across the board. The staff addresses the issues, but I think part of it comes from proximity to other residents who are less than cleanly and don't request regular pest control. When I lived in Macon the staff at my prior complex would do pest control in the exterior areas weekly and in the interior quarterly and more frequently with request. I never had a bug in the 5 years I lived there. It is a practice I think this complex should adopt.
