I have lived at Gwinnett Pointe for a year now. I was a bit nervous about moving here due to the lack of diversity. However, I took the plunge. The Pros: I must say that I really enjoy this place. The keep the complex looking good, even though I see some nasty residents that just leave trash in the parking lot. Thankfully they have a good groundskeeper that takes care of that and does a good job. The complex is too pretty and I don't see why people don't take better care of where they live. They also have a workout room, it is basic but nice. The pool also does not have leaves all in it even though it is cold (that is a pet peeve of mine) I also like the way the apartments themselves look, I would say that it is thing one thing that I like the most. This place has so many one bedroom layouts and the 3 bedrooms have this wraparound porch like they have in houses, it is very nice! The complex is definitely the nicest in the area. I have also seen a big difference in undesirable activity since they changed management last year. The people in the office are nice and helpful as well, the rent manager Elle was nice and encouraging to me even though I was late with my rent once and even suggested places where I could get assistance. Also one of the girls up front is always smiling and very friendly. The property manager Tracey is approachable and someone that you can talk to. We have had resident functions which have been quite nice, a few months ago they gave us breakfast while we were on the way to work, it was very cold outside so that made me feel appreciated (almost too cold to roll down the window) I missed the Bingo night because it rained real hard that day, but I heard it was nice. The Cons: The one thing that I don't like about the complex is the high increase in my rent. They are renovating and the apartments are beautiful but if It keeps going up I don't know how much longer I can live here. For right now, it is worth it as I would rather pay a little bit more for something that I like and a place that I feel comfortable living at rather that hating the place I live, even though the walls seem thin and I can hear my neighbors. Lastly, they have cameras at the gates, but they must not work because people are always breaking them and the laundry room has some dryers that get hot and some that don't. I also wish that there was more lighting on Beaver Ruin road at night overall, it is a bit dark, but the complex itself is very well lit. I enjoy it here a great deal and hopefully the increase will be more reasonable the next time I renew my lease or I may have to downsize to the one bedroom with a den that I originally looked at. I have neighbors that have been here for a long time.
