When initially moving in we were told that the apartments had no roaches as this would be a huge issue for my wife. On inspection of apartment prior to moving in there were roaches. Staff assured us that this would be taken care of before our move in date. We moved in and continued to constantly have roach issues. It took 2 months before we finally stopped seeing roaches when we were told there were none to begin with. About 2 weeks after moving in, we started to notice just how cheaply renovated the apartment was. Counter tops started cracking, our "brand new" dishwasher would drench our floor with water and maintenance would come fix it only for it to then not dry our dishes at all. When they would come to fix that issue the first issue would re-present itself. They told us on a constant basis that they have contacted the company of the dishwasher to have it replaced. That never happened. Our faucets in our bathrooms were backwards pushing out cold water when turning it to hot. Many of our electrical outlets did not work. Many of our light switches did not work. You had to travel about 5 meters just to turn off a light for the hallway. The most irritating part about this whole experience is that I would be told that someone would be calling me back and it would never happen, or that someone would be coming out to fix this issue and no one would ever come. I would then call the next day and the staff was never aware or tracking my issue. The staff is friendly and professional but they never really fix your issue. My biggest issue is that my balcony door does not close/open correctly. The seal leaves a sizable gap in the bottom of the door allowing insects (roaches mainly) to come in whenever they so please. This also makes my electric bill increase due to my air or heat to constanly have to be ran just to maintain a comfortable temperature. I dont know how many times I've been in my livingroom and happened to look over to the door to just notice a roach come running in and I'm not talking about the little ones that my wife can kill herself, but the big flying ones that she is absolutely terrified of. Dont be fooled by the kind faces and nice smiles that are given when first approaching this place. The price for rent is nowhere near worth the quality of the apartment. Especially since when a apartment gets renovated the price for rent increases. I wasnt going to write a review at first but when I asked to have some duct work cleaning done that they have not been doing (All they have done is changed the filters) they scheduled the cleaning for me but the people never showed up. I called after 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment asking if the cleaners where still going to come. I was told they had no idea about it and would call me back when they got answers. 1 hour past and i called again and another staff member said the same thing and told me that they would have the apartment manager contact me as they would know the answer. That never happened. A courtesy phone call asking to reschedule, a apology, something..would've been nice. And dont even get me started on the multiple times I've come outside to smell someone smoking weed outside or children running and screaming up and down the stairs of the apartments cursing and laughing loudly. Or my absolute favorite, neighbors coming outside to speak on the phone rather than staying inside their apartment to argue with whoever they are on the phone with. Their gym is absolutely hardly worth calling a gym and whenever i try to access it with my card it does'nt open. Got them to give me a new card and went out there to only see that the gate was chained up. The trash remains constantly overfilled, its just too many issues here for the price that we're paying for rent. We will not be renewing any type of contract here. If you were looking for this place then go right on ahead and come this way if you are looking to move into a "little bit nicer version of a soon-to-be projects." They have brought this review on themselves for their poor business.
