I've been to Harbor Pointe and maybe moving to the community soon. The layout of the apartments are well designed. The grounds seemed to be pretty well maintained and I have visited the property several times. The leasing staff has been more than helpful and actually went beyond. I have seen several reviews on various properties about the bug issues. A lot of people seem to forget where these paticular communities are located. The property is surrounded by trees, plants and tons of water. The trees are obviously old as the complex themselves. Which means those trees and bugs have been around before those units where built. I've been in GA since 05'. I've never seen one bug while living in the Midtown/Downtown area, where i was surrounded by nothing but bricks and concrete. Once I moved in the Sandy Springs area (where they take some pride in the natural environment) i did notice the large bugs more often then I would have liked. However I do understand that is part of thier habitat. If you want less bugs in your apartment, then you must move to a LIGHTLY wooded area with modern construction (lots of brick, concrete, etc). The property could use a bit of TLC. The hallways are a dusty and full of spider webs and debris. I did notice quite a few adults and kids just hang out around the property making some noise that would disturb some people. That would be a problem if that carried on into the late hours on a weekday. I do find it rather funny how Harbor Pointe does business. They offer grate rates and specials on the units, but they charge you a arm, a leg, and three fingers for water, sewage and trash. I would say its extremely high, but when you pay unbeatable rent prices you can't complain on the water. I've seen places way worse with the same low prices and lower water bills. So i think its a decent place to live for someone who is seeking shelter at a affordable rate and not lavish life style.
