I've lived at Linq North Springs for almost 2 years. During this time my car has been broken into twice within a year. Parked directly next to the resident doors, under a camera. This continues to happen because there is no security provided nor is there even a gate at either two entrances. Last night we had the worst theft, 58 cars out of 200 total were vandalized. 58. The people that were responsible were able to leave and come back, with 0 issue entering the parking garage because of the lack of security or gate. To say this is unacceptable is an understatement considering all residents must also pay $20 to park. While the property management company has stayed the same ownership has changed hands and the new owners also neglected to address this issue. We are told repeatedly that "gates don't prevent crime" and have almost been victim blamed in our discussions. A gate may not prevent crime, but a door won't prevent someone from entering your home either in most cases. I can tell you I feel 100% better about safety for myself and the community by having doors and being able to lock them however. The logic is flawed and it comes down to simple cost cutting despite charging a premium price for rent. They charge "market rate" but don't offer what the market around here does. Fool me once. Regarding the rest of the experience, it's about what you'd expect from a sub par complex despite the "luxury" name tag. Residents were continued to charge a fee for "amenities" during covid despite all of them being closed. Parking costs $20 but is not reserved and there are 0 deterrents aside from a camera system which isn't obvious and not evident to someone entering the parking garage. You are mandated to pay a valet trash fee even if you live next door to the trash chute. The elevators consistently smell like dog urine (I blame the residents more than the complex for this, but it is what it is). You have to swipe your key fob 5-6 times or learn the trick to getting it to work to enter the doors. God forbid if you try and open one of the doors with your hands full.
