I've lived her for the last year and I don't plan on moving anytime soon. I have lived at several apartments in the Atlanta area and this is far and away the best one that I have lived in. You have problems anywhere you live, but the staff at Barringer Place usually rectifies whatever is wrong here within 24 hours. Of course there are a few (very few) sketchy neighbors, but far less than most places and, unfortunately, they have to rent to anybody who qualifies. The location is awesome, less than five minutes to 285/400/or Roswell Road, and about two minutes to Perimeter Mall and the new Super Target complex they just built. The place is well maintained and the rates are very fair for the space you get, the location you have, and the overall quality of the apartments. Whoever said that safety is in doubt here severly exaggerates. The reported car thefts that occur here (few and far between) are usually from people who left their keys in the ignition to warm it up when it is cold. And as far as the "break-ins" go, most of them sound like insurance fraud from what I've gathered. The parking situation is the only negative feature to Barringer Place. The spaces are very limited, but there are enough. The biggest problem with the parking is the inconsiderate neighbors who don't park in the parking garages that they are supposed to and there are two or three guys with ridicuously big trucks that take up mulitple spaces. They are just jerks and there is not much you can do about it. Parking rules are a general courtesy not law, except for handicapped parking. I would reccomend this complex to just about anyone. If you can't be happy here you might as well go live in a Hotel or something.
