Great apartment - great location - great maintenance and administrative staff. The Best! Whe I've had a maintenance issue (which is not often), the maintenance staff has gotten to it immediately. The residents are all nice folks. Haven't had any security issues or any of the like. The residents' animals are all well-behavedand friendly. The location is perfect - easy access to Downtown, Wilmington Island, Isle of Hope, Richmond Hill, etc.

    The water is consistently turned off, the dryers and hot water in the washers are down periodically, but enough for me to realize that it's been quite often. We had a water main break under the porch, and it wasn't fixed for over a week, our water pressure was extremely low for this duration, causing my family to have to take ----- bathes as if we were in a 3rd world country. I understand this property is aged, but it needs an overhaul to keep up with the raising of rent prices

      i haaaaaaaaaaate the parking. Parking is the biggest issue. I never have a spot in front of MY door and I pay rent here like every one else. I only have ONE VEHICLE. Something needs to be done about the parking. Point blank.

      For the most part, the apartment was great. Older, but quiet and comfy. But the inconsistency with the pool was absolutely abysmal. It is the main shining point of the property and when it's unusable, it doesn't make the rent worth it. Especially when there are other sites with cheaper rent and no pool. RREAF Management needs work regarding how they treat residents and employees. Management has a habit of talking down to people with condescension masked by a smile. It is understandable that residents may not understand the processes and have unrealistic and unreasonable demands. But management should still handle each situation with kindness and professionalism.

        Great! Mrs. Angela Mr. Anthony and Mr Drake are wonderful and very helpful. Whenever I have a problem one call and that's all! The community is very quiet (I can only speak for my area). The only problem I have is people with dogs they don't clean up behind them (not all pet owners but some)

          There is not much a community in the apartment complex, and they don't really foster one. At the start there were attempts at pool parties and Easter events for kids and newsletters but those don't happen anymore. I don't know any of my neighbors.

            Takes a long time to get maintenance request done. Need an understanding of the issues with grills. Need to maintain and monitor the laundry room machines. Possibly have and outside company complete that task.

              The apartment complex is very clean and it is very convenient to shopping centers, parks and schools. The staffs are very professional, very courteous and very friendly. The maintenance guy always get the job done on time.

                Now Ascend Midtown, still STAY AWAY

                Lived there for only 10 months and owners changed hands once, and they had new owners supposedly when I moved in. Never got my deposit back despite records that they owed me more than I owe them. Maintenance man moved out and then there was a bed bug infestation the day the next person moved in... I dont know more than that, but that info alone doesn't bode well, and considering this was right above me, I put in my notice the day I learned about the infestation. They lied to my neighbors about it. They kept the apartment empty for another month. I saw exterminators come and go. That maintenance man is actually really nice and helpful and I never got bed bugs in my apartment so maybe the new person really did bring them even though that doesn't make sense. More likely that they were in the uhaul? Doesnt matter. The point is, management both hid it from us sharing the same building and openly lied to my neighbors about it.                   HORRIBLE.I had many maintence issues for the past year ive lived here. They only offer temporary solutions to the problems. Really bad security issues maintenance left my doors open I was robbed.Maintenance cannot be trusted. My neighbors were robbed while they where out of town for holidays (door kicked in.) Mine and about 15 others cars tire slashed. Staff is very unprofessional. Front office is no help at all. Mold and bugs problems were issues as well. PLEASE STAY ANYWERE ELSE BUT HERE!!!!!!!

                      need alot of updates

                      I have live in Alhambra Apt for about 7 years I know a few people that have lived there even longer than that,and they are far from slums and can afford a computer and a laptop, BUT I can agree with some of the comments former residents have posted but not all and definitely not to the degree they have experienced,after reading Im shocked and ashamed to even say I live heree, the pluses to me about Alhambra is friendly management (daniella), space, and price, the prices listed on this site, I dont know where those figures came from. However coachroaches were a problem the first year the laundry facility was covered with them, but I dont have any problems @ all (for years) the only thing that I would say is maintenace is so- so compared to the maintainced guy (terry) that they had when I first moved there he all he wanted to do is clean his truck. they do botch things up to get you buy and this summer is the worse I've ever seen the pool, It was just nasty,on several occasions and although I can count how many times Ive visit the pool I it… See More>

                        I went to college in the area and picked Alhambra for the location and lower cost. It did not take long for me to regret my decision. The buildings seem all right at first glance, but the construction and insulation are VERY poor: roaches and other pests practically have a "doggie door" and you can hear what's going outside plain as day. My air conditioner/heater was ancient and did not work properly most of the time. I complained about it often and explicitly said I felt it needed replaced, but they made shoddy repairs instead: replaced a fuse, reattached the fan, added coolant, etc. Well, I went away for a trip and came back to water damage in the ceiling due to the air conditioner's pan leaking. The ceiling literally cracked open and began to sag. They once again made repairs instead of replacing the unit. When the guy came to patch the ceiling, he got the stuff all over the room and damaged some of my things. I told the office and they never offered to pay damages. Pest control is a joke.                           Life at Alhambra?...It was "H" on earth!!!

                          My two yougest children (age 5 at the time) were molested by two other children not long after we moved in Alhambra..whom were males, ages 11 & 12. One of these boys tormented my kids all summer. On another day.. One of my children age 6 at the time, was jumped by 3 kids- one of them was a teen. They were with a group of people having a party at our clubhouse...so you would think that the Mngr. Ms.B.B. could find out who they were for me since the mother thretend to hit me in front of a crowd of people from this party.. you know because I did call the police...but you guessed it, they (Mng & cops) could give a darn. When I went to the Apt manager Ms.B.B. told me to ask my children to leave the room- then she proceeded to tell me "You know.. you`re beginning to become a problem". Many times people would be smoking pot at the pool & play ground while our chilren were playing.                             Cockroaches used to be a problem, but it has been undercontrol for 2 yrs. We have some new management staff that has really fixed a lot of the slum in this place. I have been here 4 yrs and never had a robbery. Its very big for the price. It is the best priced place around the savannah area. Its usually not the maintenence mens fault for not getting things done, rather talking upper management into fixing something. These places have been paid off for years. They were built in the 1950's. Internet connection was horrible when we first moved in. Theyre were no updated cable units. You can always borrow a neighbors wireless network! Thats if it doesnt cut in and out all the time. The patios are a cement block. No privacy. Then you have the grounds keeper that comes by your patio yelling Hi over and over to your pet making them bark a lot every morning.
