Viera at Whitemarsh Apartments
Resident · 2008 - 2009
Sure, the price is right and location is convenient but there is far too much hassel and inconvenience from the management. New management has tried to "fix" the complex, but with no consideration to the current residents. We are subjected to rate hikes, parking restrictions while they repaved, power washes.... it's one thing after another. I love the Islands for the peace and quiet, but Islandtree is anything but quiet. If they promise you you may use the tennis court for any form of recreation, its a lie--residents have been threatened that the court is designated for tennis only--all other uses are strictly prohibited. Nevermind that residents take their dogs swimming in the pool. The final impression on a resident is once they'll do anything to spruce the place up for incoming residents, but nothing to keep current residents satisfied. Maintenance is slow to arrive and often inefficient, though this may partially be blamed on an inefficient office organization. Mold, worn out carpets and appliances are a constant plague as are the roaches. Also, strong efforts are maid to maintain the grounds, but they are constantly fowled by animal waste and strays. In general, these apartments make little effort to be pet friendly. There is no open area to let dogs run and the large amounts of pet waste and standing water create unhealthy conditions for our animal.
