I loved living here. Moving from Atlanta to DC was terribly dissapointing. You will not find anything like this in other cities.

The floorplans vary a lot, so you'll find something you like. We did. Our sun-room, fireplace, built in bookshelves, and huge kitchen made all our friends envious. There was plenty of parking for us and our guests. We never used the fitness center (you have to pay extra for that) but the pools are all nice and there are at least four of them. Tennis courts are fine, too, but I loved the walking trail!

There are very few apartments that let you keep pets of all shapes and sizes. We have two cats, but know people who have had 50-gallon fishtanks or large siberian husky dogs. We felt safe in our first-floor apartment. The gate guard is not particularly diligent, but it still beats the open gates at all the other apartments around. And there is a roving security guard who drives through the complex regularly. Our neighbors were great - a single working woman upstairs, an Indian family next door. There was a little trouble with some loud music coming from the apartment on the other side of the building (we shared a bedroom wall with them) but I went there in person to explain, and they were very considerate after that.

I wished the office hours had been extended to better accomodate those of us with "regular" working hours. And though maintenance kept the building nice and the grounds clean, they tended to act as if the problems inside (like a broken disposal or scratched paint) were too much of an inconvenience. The biggest headache was the TV service. Your cable/satellite/internet choices are all limited here. I should have written a nasty letter to Comcast, because our service would dip unexpectedly and the cable guy NEVER came when promised. But I can't really fault the apartment management for that.

Yes, to respond to another review, there were some bugs when we first moved in. But be serious! There are bugs in EVERY apartment building! (The place I'm in now has cockroaches, and it's considered nice!) At the Village, we kept the place clean and sprayed around the doorway, and had no further problems.

The location can't be better. The surrounding business park is super-quiet after 5:00 and on weekends. I-75 or I-285 are less than 5 minutes away, there's a mall close, and you can practically walk to the Target. Yes, Dobbins Air Force base is fairly close, but I can only think of two or three times that I noticed the sound of planes overhead.

I would recommend this place to anyone!
