I would not recommend renting at Southern Oaks/Too. The pictures (which typically attract out-of-towners) do not reflect the true appearance of the units. I was moved into a roach infested unit, which was partly my fault. Again, moving from out of town I needed to have a place to stay. The unit that I was shown did not end up being the unit I moved into. The complex is old and there is a lot of maintenance that needs to be done. Management will leave notices on your door every other month about keeping trash off of the patios and balconies and encourage residents to contact the police for suspicious activity. Southern Oaks is a small community, so the fines that are promised by management for ignoring cleanliness requests could easily be executed, but they are not. More and more residents are moving in who sell/use drugs, play loud music and have unauthorized pets. I have had (2) incidents in my unit alone and the response from management was unsatisfactory. I would encourage anyone interested in the community (especially out-of-towners) to visit this location first.
