I moved into Oakmont when it was changing management companies and names to Century Pointe. There was some confusion by the staff in getting our paperwork in order, but they are nice and tried to make it work.

The unit was brand new (never been lived in). However, the construction is poor. There are still paint dips on windows that I can not clean off. There are dings and scratches all over the walls, doors, fixtures, cabinets and tubs prior to me moving in. However, I love the layout of my unit. I love that the walls are not WHITE. I like the location of my unit. My neighbors are relatively quiet. I love that there is a walking trail nearby.

I do have a few complaints; since moving in, the parking lot has had street lights that are burned out. Right now, it seems like the majority of the units are vacant and so there are a lot of parking spaces available. Once the complex becomes mostly occupied, there will be limited parking. Prior to moving in, the cable company ran a cable from one building to the next; the cable has yet to buried underground, it is still laying in the grass between the buildings, it is a bit of an eye sore.

I will be moving out at the end of my lease. While the apartments look nice and the staff is friendly and maintenance guys are fast, this apartment is a temporary living situation for me.
