Apartments are WAY overpriced for what you get. You not only pay for your rent, but the rent of LOTS of little cockroaches. Most of the staff in the front office are very nice and helpful, but watch out for head honcho - when things don't go how she thinks they should, she turns nasty. If you sign a lease for a year, be prepared to pay rent for every month - if something significant happens in your life causing you to move, you are "allowed" to move out, but they will not work with you at all when it comes to terminating your contract early -- if you have 5 months left on your lease, you can pay it up front and move out if you wish. Also, read your contract thoroughly. When your lease is up and you are moving out, they keep most of the security deposit for "cleaning." GA state law says, "A landlord cannot retain a security deposit to cover normal wear and tear that occurs as a result of the tenant using the property for its intended purpose. A landlord can deduct from the security deposit unpaid rent, late charges, unpaid pet fees, and unpaid utilities which were the tenant s responsibility under the terms of the lease." Despite this fact, they will still charge you for a cleaning fee even if your apartment is in better shape than when you got it, so read the contract carefully. When you move in, be sure to right down/take pictures of the properties condition prior to you moving your items in - when I moved in, the bathroom and kitchen were filthy and the carpets and certainly not been steam cleaned -- as they say they do after every tenant moves out. At first, things might make these apartments look like a good idea, but just be prepared to deal with cockroaches, water being shut off with no notice, and being dealt with in a rude manner if you have questions or comments that they do not like. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone.
