Resident · 2012 - 2014
I moved to woodcrest apartments in 2012. It was nice at first, until I needed things fixed like a broken door knob, leaking disposal, leaking toilet. The maintenance guy kept saying he would fix them. 2 years later, still not fixed. Then I found out me and my daughter could move into a 2 bedroom apartment. We were excited and the landlord gave us 3 days to move into it because she said it was critical Cuz someone else needed the 1 bedroom apartment. After we got moved in we found the surprises when we got the power turned on. The showers were filthy, there were roaches. I have asthma and had an asthma attack. The heating fixture in the master bedroom was installed but the front cover wasn't the right one. It was propped up against it, when I complained about this the maintenance guy came in and screwed it to the fixture and said there it's fixed in a frustrated tone. The heating unit in living room didn't work, upon further study, I noticed it was plugged in but the plug fixture was laying on the floor and there were loose wires protruding from where it looked to be torn off from the wall. The dishwasher had what appeared to be beans in it. It was gross. The toilets were nasty. And we were told we would have to pay 720.00 a month to stay there. The advertising price was 649.00 monthly. I spent 3 days freezing with no heat. And when I told them about this they said there was no power so they couldn't see that it was dirty. The oven was dirty also. I moved out before my month was up because I didn't want to be stuck there and have to pay that much for a place that wasn't taken care of. They didn't care, just went about their life like it was nothing. I will never go back there again. It's not the place you want to live in if you need something taken care of.
