Park Place Apartments

At a quick glance, we thought these apartments were some of the nicest in town but the more we looked, the worse it got. We had to wait 2 weeks to move in while staying in a hotel to wait for painting and cleaning. Our first day there consisted of my on my hands and knees scrubbing the place from top to bottom. Pee stains on the floor, spaghetti sauce on the wall and dirty fingerprints all over the white walls and doors. The paint job left something to be desired. The maintenance man used a different color white and didn't paint around the light fixtures and plugs or behind the stove (hence the food I had to clean off the wall). There was hair and food in the sink, the toilets were dirty, and the laundry room was covered in lint. A hole through a door also tried to be fixed but the wrong kind of putty collapsed and they had to order a whole new door which took 3 months. I told them about everything wrong and --- was very apologetic and promised good things but --- got defensive and offered for the (horrible) cleaning lady to come clean our apartment one day when I didn't feel like cleaning. We said "no thanks". When we wanted to move out...well that's a long story but they tried charging us another $1,000 dollars but we reported the injustice to corporate office and we got our money back. Also, the walls are PAPER THIN and I could hear EVERYTHING that went on in the apartment next to us. I felt sorry for whoever lived around us because we had a baby with colic while living there so I'm sure they heard every cry and whimper and 3 am feeding! To conclude...The rent is way to high for what we got and I'd never live here again if the rent was free.
