This place is as most apartment complexes are, out for your money and that's it. They promise a clean, freshly painted and carpets clened place and instead you get a few spotty nail hole cover ups, a smelly and stained carpet and a freezer with mold and hair in it!
It was May and we hit a really cold spell, tried to turn the heat on and found there to be none, I called the emergency number and was told the heat was turned off in April because Mid-American said they don't have to keep it on passed April 2nd.
The hallway was covered in vomit for 3 months, everyone on our floor called and it was never cleaned up! At least it was winter and didn't stink too bad from the heat of summer, the buildings all smell foul no matter the time of year though.
I worked nights and slept during the day, so most of the time I was home to personally witness this. The law states they must give 24 hours notice before entering your apartment unless there is an emergency. Our apartmet was entered at least 4 times and the person left quickly when they realized someone was home. On the last occasion I was in the shower and the maintainence guy came right on in, I came out with a towel on and a weapon in hand; the complex maintained they didn't send anyone over but he did work for them and I saw him several times after that coming and going from other's apartments.
The buildings get flooded constantly and they will not come to dry the carpet or clean it, so you have black mold all over the first floor at minimum. It is ruining the health of those who live there and all they can say is they are too busy to get to you. So your furniture gets ruined, your health is in decline and they won't let you move out without huge fees...
Sounds like a great place huh!
