The Park Apartments
Resident • 2013 - 2014 Not Recommended
I have lived at the park apartments for almost a year now and like one of the other reviews I am counting down the days to my lease being up, this place is ridiculous, I have holes in my carpet that I have been asking to be fixed from day one, its still not fixed. The maintenance men are wonderful but have to have any outside company come fix it, well no one really knows who is in charge of setting up that appointment. The vinyl flooring in the kitchen is coming away from the walls, the wooden floor boards underneath are showing, that obviously also can't be fixed unless someone makes an appointment with an outside company. I do own a dog, I do pick up after my dog, but unfortunately it seems that I'm the only one that can do this, after ruining a new pair of shoes by walking to the dumpster to take out garbage by stepping in an enormous pile of poop, I wear my 15 year old shoes to step outside here. I do not feel safe living here, many times complained about shadey men wondering outside at all hours of the night I was told by management to buy myself some pepper spray, I did go out and buy some because once again a concern I had was not taken seriously. The wind that blows through the windows is bone chilling. Once again went to management and was told, well there is nothing we can do about that, just hang a blanket in front of your window, winter will be over soon. The neighbors argue and fight constantly, it is nothing to see the police here daily, and as for vaulted ceilings, washer and dryer in unit, and central air well that doesn't exist in any apartments I have been in here. The rent for what you get here is outrageous, the management that is here is horrible, the neighbors are crazy, and the nude midnight swims by some residents are obviously not for me. So come on April when my lease is up and I can finally move to somewhere that has competent management, and residents that take pride in the place they live..oh and the laundry room is well I have no words to describe the fifth.
