Cambridge Court Apartments
Prospective Resident • 2018 Not Recommended
My fiancé and I were ready to purchase a contract from a couple in this complex. I received a call this morning telling me that my application had been accepted and needed to pay a deposit. I told her that I would have to wait until the banks opened up on Monday. She explained another couple was interested so I said okay let me get the funds and I will be over. I secured the funds and called back where a gentleman told me my application had been denied and that I would not be allowed to pay my deposit. The manager gave the apartment to someone else and told me that the only reason they accepted my application was because no one else wanted to rent the room. Now that they had someone else they wanted to go with them. She told me that I made her feel intimidated because I asked questions about their management and past concerns that a friend had (a bug issue that never got resolved). I wanted to make sure anything like that was no longer their so they refused my application after already saying it was accepted. After trying to discuss this with them they told me we don't think your a bad person we just see you as a problem tenant. If a problem tenant is someone who raises concerns that other tenants had in the past and they choose to ignore them that is bad management. If a manager feels intimidated because a future tenant asks about issues that happened in the past and wants to know that the complex took care of the issue then they have no right to be in a management position. If you value decent customer service from your management team this is not the complex for you. Apparently if you have an issue they will ignore you because they are intimidated by confrontation. The rent might be cheap but that's a reflection of people refusing to want to live in their apartments. Which shows you how bad this apartment complex is.
