I have lived here for nearly six semesters straight. I've lived all around the complex and have loved it here. The management usually gets railed on by disgruntled tenents who feel "mistreated". The truth of the matter is that the owners take care of the apartment day in and day out and with the exposed nature of the courtyard, they are aware of a lot of honor code and contract violations occurring in the complex. So they follow what they've agreed to by the Student Living Contract: http://www.byui.edu/Documents/housing/Guidebook_10.17.12.pdf (on pg 12)
I've personally seen a TON of guys leave this apartment because they get butthurt over the management correcting them. I've lived here plenty and interact with the owners every day. Their fairness and care of the complex and tenants alone give me reason to stay here the rest of my time at BYU-I. :) If you live here, you NEED to be accustomed to the fact that you've signed contracts, the Honor Code, and the management will follow their obligations to encourage you to live it.
Another thing! The owners have taken the time to plant veggies and berries all around the complex. She tells us that they are all for us! I've snacked on fresh produce in the later part of spring semester every year. It's awesome. :D
Now the best feature, other than the owners, is the secluded nature of the apartment complex. We have a sweet area of grass, grills, and tables to party on! My old -------- roomates from last year threw a HUGE fiesta in the courtyard and it was an absolute blast! We have our own area and we are never disturbed by the surrounding students. I love this complex and (if I don't get married before then) I will stay here until I graduate. :)
