I'm in my second renewal at OA, and I have to say the quality of service and care has decreased over time. The current office staff is not helpful and not responsive, at times RUDE even. The office manager (Tina)is the worst I've seen and the assistant manager (Maggie) sits in a glass office playing on her phone more than she engages with tenants. She seems to have a permanent RBF! The previous management teams were so much more responsive and service oriented. All of the friendly and helpful staff have departed since this new manager and assistant manager got here. Also, we used to have a great maintenance supervisor (Jim), and since he left, there are obvious misses in the maintenance and upkeep department. The new maintenance guy seems nice enough, but overwhelmed. Another reviewed mentioned the ! there are tons of them, and the "rules" for them are rarely followed buy their owners. As it regards amenities, the skydeck is nice (in good weather), and especially at July 4th for viewing the fireworks. But outside of that, its nothing super special. There is no business center and the promises of a water park, retail and restaurants seem life a distant dream. There are no immediate dining or entertainment options and the grounds/landscaping are not anything to brag about. Lastly, the building is very transient. There always seems to be people going and coming and there is very little sense of community, except at the monthly breakfast where residents gather for a buffet spread and linger on the skydeck to consume their bittles. In summary, the promise of luxury is elusive, the future of any retail developments in the next 12 months unlikely, and the cost to live here exceeds the value and the service. If I didn't already sign a renewal for the next year, I would leave. One Arlington leaves a lot to be desired.
