When I first visited Hunter's Glen in March 2019, the community was under the management of Village Green. We were shown a beautiful newly renovated unit with gorgeous kitchen counters and cabinets, sleek hard flooring and a spacious layout with a copious amount of storage. We fell in love. We were informed that all units were in the process of being refurbished and that the units came standard with carpet but can be redone with flooring for an additional $50. Excited and hopefully, that was exactly what we wanted and we informed the leasing agent of this. Come move-in day, we were given the keys and a move-in checklist and headed up to our unit for the first time. To our extreme disappointment, the unit we received had very dated appliances, clearly worn and discolored cabinets, old sallow and stained kitchen counters and you guessed it-carpet. Displeased, we immediately returned to the leasing office and complained. The agent did not apologize but instead made excuses that "it should have been done" and he will "look into it". Time went on and nothing had been done to fix our unit nor had attempts been made to move us to a unit we would be more happy with. We were told the flooring could be scheduled but the agent was "waiting to hear from maintenance" because they intended to refloor other units at the same time. That is what we were told anyway. Then management changed and because the leasing agent we signed with apparently made no record of the promise he made to us, the staff was unwilling to assist us. Finally, new management stepped in and the new assistant property manager, Nikki O'Keefe is the first and only one who has listened and expressed interest in helping us sort out this matter after far too long of a delay. A solution has yet to be reached but Nikki is the first to offer us the option of switching to another unit that had been renovated and re-floored as we had initially expected to move in to. I would consider renewing the lease when the time comes solely because of how helpful and accommodating she has been with addressing this issue. The property itself is quiet and inviting, the community areas are always clean and never too crowded. Apart from the initial run around we endured from Village Green's property management, we really do enjoy living here. If you are considering Hunter's Glen, I suggest insisting on visiting the exact unit you will be receiving and make sure you get everything in writing when making special requests.
