Looks can be deceiving. Not the worst place to live, but far from the best or even decent. Cons: Apartment wasn't finished being made-ready when it was supposed to be, did not learn this until we had already got everything packed form old place and were waiting on keys Trim was not put in the apartment until well beyond move-in date Door was not insulated until multiple complaints were made, even then it was a shoddy job Bathroom ceiling had soft spots that were "squishy" Stairs to upper floors felt unsafe and weak (rotting wood) Parking is absolutely atrocious, you will be lucky to have a spot the next building over Noise is problematic No sidewalk clearing or salting, because "We would have to take liability if you got injured" Would not hangout outside past dark, safety may be compromised Some of the doors didn't fit (pantry doors for example) Management can be extremely unprofessional and rude, give it a month and see Trains can be exceptionally loud, I actually liked it since I grew up near tracks Pros: Not the lost expensive rent, although for ~80/mo extra I moved to a much nicer place Accepts pets close to SWIC, I-64, and SAFB Police/Fire/EMS are extremely close Decent amount of space *I have a newer unit so these may not be true for older ones* Appliances are nice Lighting was nice, Carpet was nice, very comfortable Rooms have enough space for a queen and walking room If you write a nice review you can get a discount on rent (As you can see I probably won't get it)
