Things had started to get better when new management came in, but then it tanked. The new owner of the building decided that my rent needed to go from 488 to 700 with NO improvements to the apartment. I've been waiting two weeks for a back flow valve for my water heater, and the property manager/maintenance guy didn't seem to know what I was talking about when I asked him about it two days ago. Try and get any concessions and you just get told "There's a waiting list for people to get in here." Good luck with that list. It's going to take some pretty tolerant people to pay 700 a month for apartments in such shabby condition and fire alarms that go off during blizzards.
