Don't move here, unless you like being threatened with being killed by police for wanting maintenance done. I have been here since March of 2021, so far my sink leaked hot water for 3 months, my toilet did not flush, took 3 tries to fix it, and end up fixing it myself to get it done right, sink sewer pipe broke, was told it would not be done for at least a month. I paid to do it myself, as death by sewer gas is NOT how I want to die. Now my hot water heater does not heat water, but somehow 95 degrees is "perfectly acceptable" hot water, even though it is only being heated by my neighbor's heater, and my fire alarm is broken. If I move, I will have to face a $100,000 "fine" for "gross damage" THEY CAUSED! Don't move here!!!

This place is absolutely horrible. The staff doesn't do anything to make this place even the slightest bit enjoyable. Most of the time the staff just sits outside the main office smoking all day long. Not to mention they are very very rude towards their residents. They also put no money into making this place better. Instead they all get green chargers and waste Our income on themselves. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! You will regret it.

This place is absolutely terrible! The staff sucks and the management is brutal. They spend more money on themselves than they do on the apartments. It shows too because our apartments keep burning down due to crappy wiring and cheap AC units. The management can drive new chargers though. Don't rent from this place! I'm so happy my lease is finally up.

i only live here because it's all i could afford
this place is horrible. i hate living here. my lease comes up in july, and im willing to move almost anywhere. i dont know anything about how it was with the old manager, but nothing ever gets done. my bathtub runs, the faucet is loose, the tiles are cracked, both my closets are broken, the floors are stained...i saw two mice last night. the maintenance staff doesnt fix anything. i told them about a wet spot on my floor last weeks they knew all about it already, but havent been back to fix the leaky pipe. the kitchen is smaller than the bathroom. theres almost no counterspace or cabinets. i have to keep all my appliances in the closet. mt groceries dont even fit in the cabinets. really unattractive and depressing. horrible lighting, ugly, rough carpet, concrete walls. its not safe, i carry pepper spray with me even just to take my dog to pee. its like coke central here. some lady tried to give my dog a chicken bone last night, and then wanted to fight me because *i* got mad. theres always someone high on something asking you for money or a cigarette. two women stopped the elevator and beat up another women while it was stopped. the cops are always here. the fire alarms go off at least twice a month for no legitimate reason. it smells here. people urinate all over the place, they throw their trash wherever they feel like it. the washers and dryers dont work well and are disgusting. most of the people here are disabled and the handicapped door openers dont work most of the time. theyre actually *worth* around $700 thats what the rent is before its subsidized. our rent is based on out income which is the only reason i could afford to live here. they take 30% of your income to be your rent. utilities included and close to campus/downtown are the only benefits, and its not worth it.

Poor Managent
I think that management wrote the last review. Service have gotten worse since the new management has taken over. We have a giant bewd bug investation that that the management will not fully clear up, The van that would ferry elderly and disabled tenants died and has not been replaced. The maintainance staff will spend money on repairs, so if it's really broken it will be reapired with spit and duct tape!

Under new management
The towers has a new manager now. She seems to be much better than the last two. There have been alot of improvements. Both to the service offered and tenants that live there. It is subsidized housing so you get what you pay for, but atleast this manager cares about the people that live here and is working towards cleaning the place up. I think its a great place to live considering my rent is based on my income and utilities are included.

The appartment is nice and roomy, but that is all.Managment is very poor,we don't get any help if we get outsiders that bother us to the point were it becomes very dangerus. We need new and better managment that cares about us that need to be looked after. It is a shame that we have to be afraid to go out of our appartment.

It's okay......
I live at the Carbondale Towers and I guess it's okay, but the thing that gets me is that management and the head resident won't do anything if someone is harrassing you but yet it's in the lease that you can get an infraction for harrassing people. I do say one good thing about them though is that they are good at working with you on some stuff. But when it comes to Infractions, they are crazy!!! I have heard some people got infractions for some of the craziest things!!
