I lived at Lincoln Village from January to August 2008. Overall it was an excellent experience staying there. It was exactly what I was looking for at the time and was the type of place I was needed. It is extremely affordable. This is a great place if you are just looking for a place for yourself. You won't get anything fancy, but it has just what you need to live comfortably. In my room, I thought the kitchen was large enough, had plenty of cabinets, etc. The living room/bedroom was just the right size. The closet was a lot bigger than I expected as well. The property manager is a good guy and I thought was very easy to get along with. He's a resident manager and the very few things I needed fixed were taken care quickly. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a place by yourself. It's not a place for you if you are looking to have parties or guests over on a regular basis, but that's not what they are intended for anyway. Its tough to find places like this that don't try to rip you off with over-inflated rent. It is very quiet and is perfect for anyone working at or attending SIU because it is so close.
