I inquired about moving in early (beginning of august) due to my summer class schedule witch is a common thing here in Carbondale. The manager did not want to deal with me and told me that if I move in early then i am responsible for paying the damages of the previous tenant, which did not make any sense to me. Weeks later, the girl at the front desk told me this is not the case so i talked to the manger who told me this and she denied it. Come move in weekend, the front desk girl was extremely rude to my family and because of a paperwork misunderstanding and we had to sleep in our car from Saturday until Monday because there were not available hotels due to the eclipse. I understand that rules are rules, but since i payed the rent for the month of August I would have hoped that she would work with me to find a solution. She stated that it is not her problem. I double checked with her on Monday prior to my move in, and after i got my keys to make sure that my room had been painted, and the carpets cleaned and she assured me it was. Fake news. The staff had not even been in the apartment. Dirty carpets, holes and nails still in the wall from the previous tenant. It has now been a week since my move in and the problems have not been addressed by the staff. The apartments are set up nicely with good amenities, but the management has assured me poor customer service, which I have also heard from other people.
