I would like to address the review written on June 16, 2016 which stated, "I do not recommend this property." I too am very disappointed--with what I read in this review. I find the specific claims that were made in this review to be somewhat egregious, as I personally have experienced none of those same things. The 'tight-nose regulations' (sic) at Wedgewood Hills are in place precisely to create a consistent environment which is conducive to studying and which allows little room for interference or distraction. Likewise, the location of Wedgewood Hills--on Park St, about a 15-min walk to campus--is safe and quiet, and no crimes which were mentioned have actually occurred near the Wedgewood Hills complex. It is on an lively thoroughfare, with many people walking and jogging in the early morning.
Loretta Cooley has built, developed, and expanded the WH complex from the mid-90s, when it was a mobile home park. She is an astute and staunch businesswoman who also cares personally not only for the property but for each of her tenants. When disturbances or loudness occur--no matter what time of night--she is out there in the midst, addressing and resolving the problems. On holidays when most students have gone to their families, Loretta makes sure that those who remain are not forgotten--she delivered homemade gifts to each tenant who stays there. This woman is 2/3 businesswoman, and 1/3 MOM.
I know this because I have lived there since the mid-90s. I was there at its inception when it was a mere mobile home park, and have witnessed its growth to what it is today--a clean, quiet, community of numerous units housing both graduate and undergraduate students.
