Gentry Square Apartments

I lived at Gentry Square for 10 months, but would have lived there forever if my job had not required me to move. I never once had a bad experience with them. Jessica and Katie were always extremely friendly whenever I would call or stop by the office. The few maintenance requests I had to make were always filled right away and the maintenance guys were really friendly. Jessica also made sure to remind the maintenance guys that I had a cat so they were careful not to let her out! The apartment complex is set within a nice neighborhood in Champaign, and there were a lot of families that lived in the complex. I lived in a 2 bedroom with a roommate, and even if I had lived by myself I would have felt safe there. I've had issues with ants and water bugs in previous apartments, but I don't think I ever saw any bugs here besides a stray spider once in awhile. We rented a washer and dryer for only a few extra dollars more a month which was convenient. The layout of the apartment was great with each bedroom having its own balcony, bathroom, and walk in closet. I had friends actually comment on how nice the pool area and flowers were with one friend thinking the landlord was the gardener because she was out watering flowers. We also rented out the clubhouse a few times when having friends over - all we had to do was put down a deposit which we always got back. We got our entire security deposit back when we moved out (except for carpet cleaning which is to be expected). If I ever move back to the Champaign area, Gentry Square would be the first place I would go. It cost a little bit more than other apartments but the benefits were so much better. I highly highly recommend them!
