Gentry Square apartment may seem charming at first, that is why I signed a one-year lease after a short initial stay. Then a minor repair call turned into a horrible experience. On a Friday night, I was sweating in my apartment. The AC was making lots of noise but the temperature stayed close to 80 F. I called for a repair service. The person asked to come the next day because it was getting late and he lived far away. On Saturday morning, he entered my home without calling in advanced, as promised. After he told me that the problem was fixed, I found no improvement at all. I called many times and finally got through to the manager. She told me that the maintenance person was insulted (a complete lie!!!) so he was not coming back anymore. She was in a pool with her family so she had to hang up. Out of despair, I called the emergency number. Finally another officer came over. She insisted that the temperature was dropping although the needle was barely moving. When I went to the management office on Monday, all three people accused me of several things that I never did, and threatened to call the police for an insult that never took place. I requested a repair within the next week. No one ever showed up. Couldn't bear with the high temperature and noise, I moved out in a few weeks. It was very simple: the 18-year-old AC was not functioning. They didnt' want to fix it. In the beginningI was fooled by their quick response to maintenance calls. Actually they came over but left many problem unfixed. If you really run into a problem, be prepared for "friendly" staff turning into big liers!!
