Bad Experience with Ramshaw

The bottom line is that no matter what Ramshaw-managed apartment complex you live in, you are going to have problems with the management. It doesn't matter to them if you are a good tenant either. The maintenance work was average to poor and always slow. We cleaned our apartment very well at move-out and had the carpet cleaned by one of the best companies in town. The apartment was much cleaner than when we moved in. It would have been ready for the next person to just move in without any work. But the dishonest people at Ramshaw deducted a lot of money from our security deposit and sent us an obviously fake cleaning receipt. We have heard the about them doing this to other people, and lots of their managed apartments seem to have bad on-line reviews. The office staff was nice when we were looking for the apartment, but after we moved in, service was bad and they were often rude.

    Maintenance requests are required to be addressed within 48 hours unless the issue is an emergency situation. When a potential tenants comes in to their lease signing, it is noted in their lease contract that it is their responsibility to leave their unit in a cleanly fashion. If the unit is not found satisfactory upon checkout, we hire a professional cleaning company to service the unit. The tenant is billed back the exact amount that Ramshaw was charged for the service.
