I have lived here for a few years and the service has gradually declined with the passing of every year.
The Good:
- Great location. Close to public transportation, grocery stores, Old Town restaurants, and all things fun in the city.
- Fairly large apartments given the location
- Updated fridge and stove in most apartments
- Free utilities
The Bad:
- The free utilities are going away and residents will share the cost together. Since my apartment was ALWAYS hot during the winter, I think the share cost per resident my exceed the $75/month estimate
- The door staff are often too lazy to get up and hold the door at night even when you have packages.
- Residents let their dogs roam the halls and parking area off leash. Always look down when entering or exiting the elevator to avoid tripping on an unleashed, small dog. 2 black pugs ran into my apartment once and I had to literally kick at them to get them out of my apartment.
- Residents who don't pick up their dog's poop or let their dogs pee right next to the rear exit.
- Smokers standing next to the exits when it's raining or cold which forces you to walk thru a cloud of smoke
- Smoke from the smokers at the back door traveling up into your windows if you leave the windows open.
- Loud noises from the residents drinking and smoking on the back side of the building late at night when the weather is nice
- It is not uncommon for at least one of the two elevators to be out of service
- Occasionally, both elevators to be out of service for short periods of time
- Old lightening fixtures with impossible to find bulbs. Once they blow out, it will be very dark in the kitchen and living room area. I asked for a replacement bulbs, was promised some would be brought to me, never got them or the correct part number so I could order replacements.
