it's not exactly "heaven" but it's a very nice building. i have lived here for four years now, and i have never been this happy with a building in chicago. the lobby and common areas are old-world impeccable, and the guys who work here are all terrific. it's an old building, and the bathrooms aren't modern, but the upside of old construction outweighs the downside in this building's case. oh, and as far as the "pedaphiles" - there is a "convicted sex offender" (who is not a pedophile) living here. i got to know this neighbor, and far from a pedophile - he was the president of a local university, and is not a day younger than ninety-five years old, the father of three, and can hardly stand up, much less walk. not only do i recommend you live here, but i recommend you get to know the university president (i would trust him more with my children than any "babysitter"). it's a great building, with great management, and great neighbors. i don't think i'll ever move out (unless the rent keeps going up fifty dollars a year).
