Here is the list:
- The duplexes are not very weather proof and don´t have energy efficient appliances...be prepared for big heating bills
- Some rules are different depending on race
- Repairs are done as cheaply(only when they pay) as possible. If heater goes out on Friday evening, you might have to wait until Monday to get any repair or service
- Forget any replacement of broken down appliances...they just quick fix them again and again
- Hope you don´t like walking on the grass barefoot...the lawns are rocky, lumpy, and sparse
- NO PETS...friends cannot even visit you with a pet...unless of course...see race issue
- After a service call or bi-annual inspection, be prepared to clean up after whomever is there...they will just leaves messes behind
- Only doorknob locks...not allowed to put up deadbolts or anything safer
- In summer months, be ready to sleep with your windows closed for a couple of reasons...nearby apts. are partying college students(very loud, especially with their music and motorcycles) and screens don´t fit well enough to keep out bugs. We are next to farms and the biting ladybugs are horrible. They get in through screens so easily.
- Carpets have almost no padding, lots of tack strips not secured(watch out little piggies), stain very easily and aren´t very clean to begin with when you move in.
- Light bulbs burn out about a month after replacing(outdoors) and a couple of months for indoor ones
The list could go on and on.
