The Timber Cove apartment complex is old... BUT, rent is cheap and the location is pretty good. Overall the complex is decent as long as you know what you're getting.
The good: The parking situation at my building is great. They're really good about grounds upkeep and snow removal too. You're right next to the zoo (fun except for the train whistle that goes off all day long), the lake (no access at the complex though), and a couple grocery stores, Walmart, and some restaurants.
The bad: The laundry room facility in the building is adequate. The dryers are always broken, but on the other hand, there are 4 of them which is nice. There's no thermostat for the heat/ac, so you have to manually turn it on/off.
The ugly: I really wish the building was smoke free! I also wish all of the units had dishwashers and better laundry hookups. The design of the building is terrible. It is impossible to get a large-sized couch up the stairs to the second floor because there is a sharp, narrow turn at the top of every stairwell in the building.
Don't be fooled by the "showcase apartment" that they try to advertise on social media. Only one apartment looks like that, the rest are run down.
