Resident ā€¢ 2017 - 2018

1/20/2019

There are pros and cons to living here. I'll start with the good things: The grounds are kept prisitne; the community amenities are nice; the apts "look" nice; and most of the staff are friendly. Unfortunately in our experience, the bad things outweighed the good. First, the apts look nice but they're made with the cheapest materials. The walls are so thin that you can hear EVERYTHING in the hallways but also you can hear every word your neighbors say. You better request not to live under someone with kids bc you can hear every footstep from above you. Next, the apts are way too expensive for what you get. You better hope you don't have a lot of stuff bc there is very little space to put anything in your apt (and we had a 1200 sq ft apt). Next, I have several complaints about the way the staff handled things. Andrew is very friendly and so is the manager Matt Hawkins. But Krystal is a different story. At first, she was very unhelpful with basic things like getting a package. I could ask her a question and she'd look at me like a deer in headlights and say "I don't know" and just walk away (happened a couple times). The only time she was ever nice to residents is when she was giving a tour to potential renters. Then she acted like she knew you! But she must've gotten some complaints bc she all of a sudden became nicer. However, don't be fooled by the friendliness of the staff. If you go to Krystal or Andrew with a major issue, expect to be strung along and appeased so they don't have to deal with it. The biggest issue we had is the constant smell of pot. It was so bad that we could smell it in our daughter's nursery. After being strung along for a month by Andrew and Krystal with no resolution, they told me they couldn't do anything about it (they sent out an email to the residents saying not to smoke on the property - no mention of marijuana). My daughter breathed this in every day and this is supposed to be a non-smoking complex. That answer was not good enough for how much we paid to live there. I finally had a heated discussion with Matt, the mgr. I was beyond angry with how nonchalantly it had been handled so far, but I can honestly say that Matt did everything he could do to try and solve the problem. So, if you decide to move to Woodview and have an issue, bypass Andrew and Krystal if you want to get anything done - go straight to Matt. Overall, Woodview wasn't all bad but I wouldn't move there ever again if given the choice. We're glad to be gone.
