Ok, the landlord is anything but nice. She's rude, snotty, judgemental and very nosy. My husband and I lived there with our kid and it was a horrible experience. Jeannie Gleason (the landlord) is impossible to reach when you need her, yet she knows all of your business and is very invasive. She does not follow the law and will illegally lock you out of the apartment if rent is late. She makes it a point to walk into your apartment whenever she pleases. She won't let you put up your own curtains, so you're stuck with beige ugly solid hospital curtains in every room. You have assigned parking but nobody enforces it, therefore you are stuck without parking whenever students decide to have a party. If something needs repair, be prepared to pay for it yourself because if she happens to show up and fix it, she will bill you later. She threatens to put everything on your credit report, she's rude and she refuses to give you brand new carpets. If you like 70's style carpets, this is the place to be. Oh and you have to mail in your rent every month even though she lives a block away. I wonder why she has this rule in place? Hmm, perhaps because everyone wants to run her over with their car. Oh and If it does not get to her by the 1st of each month, she charges you late fees. The neighbors were cool, but there are break ins and loud parties all the time. Also she charges a $500 non-refunable pet fee for a cat. No dogs are allowed and you're not allowed to put frames up because she does not want any holes on the wall. If anyone wants to stay a couple of weeks or visit during spring break, be prepared to pay a security deposit for that person. If you want to rent from Adolph ------, move to the Unions Street Apts. This is the perfect concentration camp.
