Resident 2007 - 2014

6/11/2014

Where to start.... I lived here because I was unable to afford market rent. However, in the seven years that I have been going to school and trying to better myself I have been stressed to the max with living here. Unlike a lot of the residents that live here I get up each morning and work. I also pay my rent on time and never give the staff any problems. You would think because I'm one of the few that pay rent and always have that the office staff would have a little more respect for me and the others that are trying. WRONG. Whenever I call I try to treat the person answering the phone with respect because that's how I like to be treated. It never fails, when I ask her a simple question she gets an attitude and proceeds to talk down to me. The office manager Patty is the rudest most vindictive person I have ever met in my life. She purposely had my car towed because it was parked in the "office parking spot". However, there have been other cars that have parked there before and after the situation and not one of them were towed. Come to find out she had it towed because she thought it was too nice for the residents that lived there. She talks to every resident that lives there like they're beneath her and not like we're humans. The tow company that "paroles" the parking lots are rude as well. I have never understood why if this is a subsidized community would a tow company parole the parking lot 24/7 looking for cars to tow when the residents that live there are trying to make ends meet as is. And when you go out to stop them from towing the car (which it clearly states in our handbook that we have every right to do as long as they haven't hooked it up and once they do we can pay a small fee to have them unhook it) they pull the mace out and start yelling at you. I get depressed every time I come "home" because there are always teenagers in the hallways laying on the disgusting floors talking dancing and running even in the summer when they can go outside. The hallways smell horrible and the women that clean the hallways in the morning are rude and vacuum over your feet even after I say excuse me. When they mop the stairs there are no WET FLOOR signs before walking out and I almost slipped a few times. In the winter time they barely plow or salt the walk ways. My son slipped on some ice that was on the walk way. Please look else where. Especially if you have kids. I don't have not one nice thing to say other than my rent payments helped me survive the tough times. For a person that stays to myself and never bothers anyone unless that say or do something to my son this is the worst living experience of my life. I am so thankful I finally got another job and I'm able to afford a better place to call "home".
