I didn´t have an opportunity to see this place for myself before moving in here (I am a graduate student from another state). Goodness knows that if I had, I would never have taken the apartment. While my unit itself is okay, the rest of the building has gone to hell in a handbasket over the years. The place sold very well over the phone - hardwood floors, high ceilings, right in downtown Evanston - but in real life, it´s awful. Weird people live here, homeless people like to break in, it smells like some sort of chicken on my floor all the time, I have people next door to me who fight loudly in a different language every night. No one ever said that the studio apartment lifestyle was luxurious, but we all have our limits.
