Lived above the garage. We had huge heating bills in the winter. It is electric heat and very inefficient. The main advantage of this place is that it is large and right next to Northwestern campus. It is extremely cheap for such a size and location. It also has 8 garage parking spots for rent and 4 off-street parking spots. It has central air, but the units are old and you need to call every year when it starts to get hot to have them filled with refrigerant. This is done quickly. I tried to get AT&T internet here, but they said they did not have the infrastructure to do it. You are stuck with Comcast. However, in some rooms you can access Northwestern's wireless network. It never worked well with my computer, but some have had success. You have to be a Northwestern student to use it. Coin-op laundry is in a couple of the garages. It is hard to get in on the weekend. The management did not use computers and is fairly disorganized. Most residents just enjoy the cheap rent and nice walk to campus and try to deal with management as little as possible.
