This review was posted by the manager at Willows of Wheaton apartments. She called for a verification on one of my tenants that is going through a divorce and needs to move. Today was very hectic and she did not like that I said I would get the form back to her by tomorrow. She became angry and hung up the phone on me. I mistakenly thought we got disconnected so I called her back only to realize that she did hang up on me. It is unfortunate that another apartment community professional would post untrue remarks on a neighboring property. I work very hard to ensure that my tenants are happy and love living at Parkside Estates. This rating is 100% untrue and was posted by a malicious individual.

I hope that you have seen many positive changes over the past few months. We have restaffed our maintenance team. I do not tolerate sloppy repairs and lack of regard for the aesthetics. We are now transitioning to a smoke free property. All new residents must sign a no smoking agreement. Current tenants will need to sign it if they want to renew the lease. This policy has been well received by my residents. We have a neighborhood watch program. The Glendale Heights Police Department came to our community meeting to discuss ways to KEEP our property safe. The PD monitors our property, we do not have any issues that should be of concern to my residents. All tenants are encouraged to be proactive. If anyone looks like they do not belong, call the police. We have installed security cameras at the pool. We are renovating the apartments. Wood cabinets, granite tops,Energy Star appliances ........
Thank you for your review. I can honestly say that I love working at Parkside Estates. I am thrilled to learn that another resident is happy living at my apartment community. We are fortunate to have so many thoughtful, respectful people living here. Life is good!
My residents at 1042 are awesome. They are very friendly and look out for each other. I was working outside yesterday and had a conversation with a few residents that were enjoying the weather, relaxing on their balconies. It reminded me of a Norman Rockwell painting;depicting life in America.
Dear anonymous, Have you tried speaking to your new neighbor? They probably do not realize that they are offending you. I will call them and ask them to use "inside voices" when hanging out on the balcony. They are very nice people and will surely accommodate the request. This" ANONYMOUS" review is not true. We NEVER keep security deposits unless there is damage that was caused by the tenant. All security deposits must be refunded within 30 days of moving out. If any money is withheld you must send an itemized receipt explaining why the funds were withheld.It is ILLEGAL to keep security deposits........ I invite this person to call me and I will gladly discuss the issue. If ANY money was withheld I will write a check with interest.

I am sorry you had this experience. I require all prospective tenants to have a background check performed before we will rent to them. I want to ensure that all of my residents are safe and living with other responsible people.
I am sorry you had such a bad experience. I have replaced the previous manager and will not allow my tenants to have maintenance nightmares.
I am sorry this person had such a bad experience. I am the NEW manager for the property. I would like to address the issues this person mentioned: 1. Any reports of water infiltration are corrected immediately . We do not have any mold issues in the apartments. 2. The washing machines/dryers are 21" space savers. I would rather do a few smaller loads in my home than run to the laundry-mat or go into a community laundry room. 3. We have amazing tenants that live at Parkside Estates. There are no wild parties or loud neighbors. We are very conscientious about who we rent to. We have a strict screening process for prospective tenants. It is better to have an empty apartment than a bad tenant. 4. I have personally opened garbage bags that were put in front of the dumpster( I got the name from mail in the bag) I then asked the tenants to PLEASE put the bags inside the cans. Our maintenance staff walks the grounds each day to pickup any stray papers. 5. The area in front of the office does have a drainage issue that we have been trying to correct. Mother nature sometimes throws us a curve ball with large rainfalls that cause the water to take a little longer than desired to drain. Thankfully, it is rare.
We are diligent about work orders being completed within 48 hours. Any pool hoppers are escorted off the premises. Our pool is for the exclusive use of Parkside Estates residents and their guests.
Mr. Jones........We are not able to "Help residents locate funds if they fall behind on rent." I expect payment on the first day of the month. We have a grace period of 5 days; late fees will be incurred if payment is late.
