These apartments look okay on the outside but are in dire need of major repairs. They use hot water to heat the buildings and the pipes leak all over the ceilings. Maintenance comes in, re-plasters, re-paints but never fixes the leaking pipes so the patch jobs have to be done every so often. Mold is also a major issue because of this. The appliances are very old and are the kind you would expect to find in the projects on the south side of Chicago. The washer and dryers combos are the spacesaver models that are good for 1 pair of jeans and 2 t-shirts at a time maximum. If you have children, you will be better off going to a laundromat. There is no on-site laundry. The storm drain right in front of the leasing office does not drain during a hard rain and the parking lot floods. It's been like that for years and the management refuses to do anything about it even though the only handicapped parking spot is under water when it rains. Noisy neighbors having drunken parties until 3 o'clock in the morning are apparently encouraged. Trash from the dumpsters gets blown all over the grounds and some of it might get picked up once a month. Heat gets turned off in April, regardless of the outside temperature. They tell you to use the tiny fireplace for heat after that. I guess you have to sleep on the floor in your living room too. No pets are allowed unless you have lived there for longer than the policy. Then you are apparently allowed to have as many dogs and cats as you want.
