Colonial Village Apartments
Resident · 2011 - 2012
I moved in in 2011, i had originally been assigned an apartment on the fifth floor which I did a walk through on, everything was ok. At the last minute I was told that the place I been scheduled to move into, that there was a problem and I would have to take this place on the first floor, no time for walk through. The place was so dirty....I didn't even want to touch anything...there were hairs on the bathroom floor (looked like pubic) hairs in the tub, the tub by the way would not drain. The caulking in the bathroom was all gobbed on and yellow, floor tile is ancient. Tiles coming off. The dishwasher was broken, broken brackets in refrigerator. The hood above stove was all yellow, with grease spots, floor was dirty, there was goo all over the bottom of the interior cabinets. It was painted prior to moving in, but there were bumps all over the walls, the paint thick by the baseboard heaters, after being painted over so many times. At times the kitchen would smell like sewage, in fact there was a problem and the floor had to be replaced. You can smell the cooking coming through the walls, sometimes not so nice. The hallways are dimly lit and just dirty. Management? That's a joke. They are just rude. I brought up these problems explained above and was told "you can break the lease if you would like to". Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere. Moving soon, can't wait!!!!
