Colonial Village Apartments
Resident · 2013 - 2014
We rented from 2012-2014. Dog deposit $500. Overall office service is nice. They plowed and iced, not as good by side doors, but when called they took care of issue. Biggest concern is how they select residents. We've had some "questionable" neighbors who had domestic deputes and who flooded us a couple of times. Granted when we got flooded, office took care of the issue right away, however, if they screened better, we wouldn't have had a Niagara falls in our bedroom. Breaking lease was a pain, they penalize you with 300 dollars pay for when they can't lease (which is fair but a pain); they were nice about it and filled the apartment within the month. Bathroom and other appliances are cheap, as expected - my take was if we could afford to have lived in a better place, we would have done so, so for what it was, it was is acceptable - don't expect high quality appliances for what you pay. Parking is terrible - first come first serve. People reserve parking with their bikes. If you go home around 8 or after 8PM, you will be parking in boondocks. At the end of the day, if you have to live in apartment setting, it's not a bad place to live. You can hear neighbors, upstairs...wall insulation is good, or maybe our "side" neighbors were just quiet.
